Rispetto alle altre due donne, ispiratrici dei componimenti agli albori della letteratura italiana, la Beatrice di Dante e la Laura di Petrarca, la Fiammetta di Boccaccio era la più “terrena”.
Fiammetta rappresentava l’amore e la passione che ardono e bruciano.
